How to wash a tool backpack

How to wash a tool backpack

So you’re wondering how to wash a tool backpack. I’m sure it isn’t something that comes up in everyday conversations, but it’s important to know how to do it on a regular basis. You don’t want your tools to come out looking and feeling dirty.

The worse they look and the smell, the less likely it is that you’ll use them again. I’m going to help you get started on how to wash a tool backpack so that you can be on your way to keeping your tools looking good. I also have a few tips for you that will help you keep your backpack with hard hat holder neat and tidy.

Make sure it’s empty

First of all, before you do anything, make sure that your backpack is empty. If you’ve got something in there that you wouldn’t want to be lost, then don’t use it.

Next, you need to take apart your backpack. Depending on what kind of tools you’re carrying, it may be easier to do this with a pair of wire cutters or a sewing machine, but I’m not going to say which one as that would just make things more complicated for you.

Two options

Usually, you’ll find all your tools in one backpack. That’s not a bad thing, but when it comes to cleaning your tools, you have two options. You can either clean the entire backpack or you can separate your tools from each other. Make sure that the tools you’re carrying aren’t all in the same place so that they aren’t rubbing against each other.

Follow these steps

Let’s talk about how to wash a tool backpack properly. To wash a backpack, you simply follow these steps. Start by taking apart the backpack. You’ll probably notice that some of the straps are already apart, but that’s okay. Take everything out, starting with the items on the bottom (those that are fastened to the backpack).

Rinse off any soap or liquid

Next, you’ll want to rinse off any soap or liquid that was in there. Then you’ll want to grab a bottle brush and a mild detergent (cheap works) and scrub each area.

Do this until you get the stains out of the backpack. If you have some kind of fabric in the backpack, it’ll be easier to clean it because you’ll only be touching the dirt instead of the fabric itself. Once you’re satisfied that the backpack is clean, you can then put it back together.

Dry it as soon as possible

When you’re trying to clean your backpack properly, you’ll also want to dry it as soon as possible. There is really nothing more annoying than a backpack that’s so wet that it won’t dry properly. For this, you should make sure that you have your backpack on a hanger.

Hang it from a hanger and it should dry out evenly. You can then put it in the dryer at the lowest speed for the best results. Make sure that you let the dryer dry completely before putting it away, as you don’t want it to catch fire or anything.

How to wear your backpack

When you’re done cleaning, you’ll want to make sure that you know how to wear your backpack. That is, you need to take it off before you start working on something.

That way, you’ll have everything that you need handy. If you don’t know how to do that, you can ask someone at the local sporting goods store or read up on the topic. That way, you’ll know how to properly take care of your backpack when you’re out working.

Not that difficult

Learning how to wash a tool backpack isn’t all that difficult, but it will take some time and effort. It’s important that you don’t rush into it and that you take your time so that you aren’t damaging your backpack. In the end, you’ll be glad that you took the time to learn how to do this properly.

After all, you’ll be able to carry around all kinds of tools in your backpack without having to worry about them scratching, denting, or even bending.
